cherry blossoms

I haven't posted in a while. First excuse, I broke my camera and only recently got a new one. Second excuse, I've been lazy about blogging, which is not really an excuse. But here I am again my loyal 3 readers! (yes, you're one of them)
This was at the Brooklyn botanical garden a couple of weeks ago (before the spring became winter again). Cherry blossoms are SO pretty! why are most spring trees pink or white? is that only in NY? :) and why can't it just warm up once and for all?
