comic con ny

This weekend was the comic convention in ny, and because I'm married to a geek :) I ended up going to my first "comic con". I expected to see more people in costume, but it was fun and we bought a couple of cool things!

my valentine effort

It was Valentine's night, so I invited Felix to a candleligh dinner at Maria's Joint (AKA home). It was my first three-course-100%vegan meal and it was a success! felix loved the spicy tomato soup (and everything else), and I managed not to burn anything :) we also had a bottle of sparling shiraz we brought from Australia!
I got flowers from him and a mixed CD :)

My exroommate Monika came from Poland last week and we were able to meet for a quick lunch before she left.
I hadn't seen her in over 5 years and was glad to find that she is the same warm, fun girl I shared the old Harlem apartment with. Hopefully she'll come back soon!
